During my recent stay at Almud in a peaceful mountain village, I discovered a small hotel bursting with character. The vintage curios and quirky furnishings lend an air of charm that sets it apart from corporate chains. Maria, the delightful hostess, was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, ensuring a comfortable stay. Although the room was cozy and clean, I couldn't help but feel that the spiraling staircase room with a mountain view was worth the splurge for a touch of luxury.While amenities like a fitness center or spa might be lacking, the value lies in the personal touch and unique design that Almud offers. The calm nights, short walks to essential services, and Maria's helpful guidance on local hikes were definite highlights. If you value characterful accommodations over traditional luxuries, Almud is a hidden gem waiting to be explored, offering a mix of comfort and authenticity that is well worth the financial consideration for a relaxed stopover in the mountains.
